MAOC (N) recently welcomed a delegation from the Maritime Intelligence Fusion Center Atlantic (MIFCLANT) for an operational briefing and exchange of expertise.
The visiting delegation, composed of US Coast Guard officers, included Captain Benjamin Golightly (MIFCLANT) and Captain Matthew A Michaelis (USAFRICOM).
During the visit, a MAOC (N)’s Head Analyst provided an overview of the centre’s operations and ongoing intelligence work. The meeting also included contributions from MAOC (N)’s U.S. Liaison Officers from the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and Joint Interagency Task Force South (JIATF-S).
The engagement served to strengthen operational cooperation and reinforce the long-standing partnership between MAOC (N) and U.S. counterparts in the Atlantic, which has been developing since the Centre’s inception in 2007.
