EU Commissioner Magnus Brunner Visits MAOC (N) Headquarters in Lisbon

MAOC (N) was honoured to welcome EU Commissioner Magnus Brunner and his delegation to its headquarters in Lisbon this week. The visit marks a significant moment for the Centre, reflecting continued high-level engagement and support for MAOC (N)’s mission in the fight against transnational organised crime and drug trafficking by sea and by air.


Commissioner Brunner was received by Executive Board Member for Portugal, Artur Vaz, and Head Analyst Paulo Silva, who provided an overview of the Centre’s operational work, intelligence-sharing processes and recent successes, also with the valuable input of the law enforcement and military liaison officers from the Centre’s partner countries.


Commissioner Brunner expressed his unwavering support and recognition of the Centre’s efforts to enhance maritime cooperation and safeguard European shores, underlining the strong multinational cooperation at the core of MAOC (N)’s work.
