MAOC (N) recently hosted Mr Victor de Moura, Liaison Officer for South America from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), at its Headquarters in Lisbon.
The visit provided an opportunity to reaffirm the long-standing and valued partnership between MAOC (N) and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. This cooperation has, over many years, contributed to international efforts to combat transnational organised crime, particularly in the maritime environment.
During the visit, Mr de Moura met with the Executive Director of the Centre to exchange views on current trafficking trends and explore avenues for strengthening operational cooperation and information sharing. The discussions underlined the importance of close coordination between international law enforcement partners in addressing evolving criminal threats.
MAOC (N) welcomes this continued engagement and looks forward to further strengthening cooperation with the RCMP.
