MAOC-N Welcomes Admiral Soubrier at Lisbon’s HQ, Highlighting Strong Collaboration Between the Centre and French Authorities

Admiral Jean-Baptiste Soubrier, who commands the French Armed Forces in the Antilles, recently paid a visit to MAOC-N.

During the meeting, the Admiral had the opportunity to delve into the operations conducted at the Centre and the cooperation efforts among partner countries aimed at combating international organised crime in the maritime domain.

The MAOC-N Executive Director thanked the Admiral for the invaluable support rendered by the French Navy to the partner countries and highlighted the consistent deployment of the French Naval and Aerial assets to conduct maritime interdictions in the Atlantic. He also emphasised the important role played by the French Navy Liaison Officer at the Centre, whose presence ensures seamless coordination and strengthens operational ties with partner countries.

In 2025 alone, the French Navy conducted 13 maritime operations in coordination with MAOC-N, representing over 51 tonnes of cocaine seized.
