NCA Regional Director for Colombia Visits MAOC (N) Headquarters

MAOC (N) was pleased to welcome Naomi Hughes, Regional Director for Colombia at the National Crime Agency (NCA), to the Centre’s headquarters for an official visit. She was accompanied by two officers from the Colombian Navy.

The United Kingdom, through the NCA, is a founding member of MAOC (N), having joined the Centre at its inception in 2007. The visit highlighted the strong and enduring partnership between MAOC (N) and the UK authorities, as well as the longstanding and constructive cooperation with the Colombian authorities.

Discussions focused on ongoing operational developments, intelligence-sharing mechanisms and key areas where enhanced collaboration can further strengthen joint responses to evolving maritime drug-trafficking dynamics, particularly in relation to trafficking routes linked to Colombia and the wider region.

MAOC (N) is proud to continue fostering stronger ties and operational coordination across borders, including with partners in Colombia, in support of collective efforts against serious and organised crime at sea.
