Senegalese Navy seizes nearly 3 tonnes of cocaine aboard a tug vessel, reaffirming its excellent cooperation with the Centre

On the night of November 27th, the Patrol vessel FOULADOU of the Senegalese Navy seized nearly 3 tonnes of cocaine aboard a tug vessel named VILLE D’ABIDJAN, which was flying a flag from São Tomé and Príncipe.

The interception, which took place approximately 80nm off the coast of Dakar (Senegal) around 2 a.m., led to the discovery of a total of 119 bales of cocaine on board, amounting to a total weight of 2975 kg.

MAOC-N extends its gratitude to the Senegalese Navy and authorities for their continued trust, support, and contribution to the Centre’s operations and work.

Senegal has been a key strategic partner of MAOC-N, having conducted important seizures in the past years through operations coordinated through the Centre.
