On 13/02/2023, the MAOC-N Executive Director hosted a visit for the Minister of State at the Department of Justice of Ireland, Mr. James Brown, at the Centre’s headquarters in Lisbon. Minister James Brown, who was accompanied by the Ambassador of Ireland to Portugal Mr. Ralph Victory, visited the Centre following the country’s strong ties with MAOC-N since the Centre’s inception in 2007. As one of the founding countries, Ireland has been a key strategic partner of MAOC-N, having contributed with valuable intelligence in operations coordinated through the Centre and facilitating international cooperation in the context of maritime drug trafficking.
