MAOC-N recently welcomed a delegation from the Danish National Special Crime Unit to its Lisbon Headquarters, hosted by the Executive Director. The delegation was led by Mr Torben Granat Svarrer, Deputy Commander for Investigation, Intelligence and Analysis.
The meeting allowed both sides to exchange views on ongoing cooperation, intelligence sharing and joint efforts to counter maritime drug-trafficking networks and also provided an opportunity to discuss Denmark’s renewed interest in the potential future accession to MAOC-N. With the forthcoming appointment of the CLO in Lisbon, Denmark indicated that its representative would be well placed to support any future steps in this direction.
MAOC-N welcomes this strengthened commitment and looks forward to continued dialogue and cooperation with the Danish authorities.
