The Seaport Cooperation Programme (SEACOP) team visited MAOC-N headquarters in Lisbon, in a meeting aimed at reinforcing the successful partnership between the two parties.
The SEACOP team had the opportunity to learn about the Centre’s work since its inception in 2007 and also about the main tools at its disposal to support Europe’s fight against drug trafficking in the Atlantic and Mediterranean maritime and air domains.
The SEACOP project is part of the EU’s Global Illicit Flows Programme (GIFP), working with relevant authorities in Latin America, the Caribbean, West Africa and Europe, in close cooperation with EU agencies fighting transnational crime and ensuring border security. MAOC-N has been supporting the SEACOP project since 10 years ago.
