New Zealand Customs Chief Executive Visits MAOC-N Headquarters

MAOC-N was pleased to welcome Christine Stevenson, Chief Executive of New Zealand Customs, to its Headquarters for discussions on strengthening cooperation in the maritime enforcement domain.

The visit reflects the growing relationship between New Zealand Customs and MAOC-N, building on recent operational cooperation and a shared commitment to tackling transnational organised crime. During her visit, Ms Stevenson received an overview of the Centre’s international coordination model and its role in supporting and deconflicting action against drug trafficking.

Discussions also focused on New Zealand’s increasing investment in maritime domain awareness and enforcement capabilities across the Pacific region. Ms Stevenson shared insights into New Zealand Customs’ evolving maritime strategy and explored opportunities for enhanced collaboration, information sharing and operational cooperation with MAOC-N partners.

The visit highlighted the value of international partnerships in addressing common security challenges and identified potential areas for future cooperation between MAOC-N and New Zealand Customs.
