The Executive Director of MAOC-N recently attended the 40th International Drug Enforcement Conference (IDEC), held in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Co-hosted by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and Argentina’s National Ministry of Security, the conference brought together senior law enforcement officials and delegates from a wide array of countries, alongside representatives from international law enforcement organisations.
IDEC 2026 provided a platform for high-level discussions on the evolving threat posed by transnational organised crime and international drug trafficking networks. Participants focused on strengthening operational cooperation, enhancing intelligence sharing and coordinating enforcement priorities, including in the areas of narcotics trafficking.
MAOC-N’s participation reflects its continued engagement with the international law enforcement community and its commitment to strengthening cooperation with partner countries and organisations in the fight against maritime drug trafficking.
