Her Excellency the Minister of Justice of Cape Verde Mrs. Joana Gomes Rosa Amado led a delegation on a visit to MAOC-N, including the National Director of the Cape Verdean Judiciary Police Mr. Ricardo Cláudio M. Gonçalves.
This meeting aimed at strengthening the existing ties between Cape Verde and MAOC-N, discussing the archipelago’s strategic importance in combating drug trafficking by sea, as well as establishing new paths for further cooperation in the future.
Since 2008 Cape Verde has been a strategic partner of MAOC-N, having conducted some important cocaine seizures, in operations coordinated through the Centre.
