Brazil’s Minister of Justice and Public Security, Ricardo Lewandowski, recently visited the Centre’s Headquarters in Lisbon, reaffirming the excellent cooperation between Brazil and MAOC-N, and discussing the country’s strategic importance in combating maritime drug trafficking.
The Minister, who was accompanied by fellow Federal Police officials Fabio Ronan Costa and Naim Ferreira Lima, was also briefed on some of the Centre’s current operations as well as the emergence of new maritime drug trafficking routes in that area.
Brazil has been a key strategic partner of MAOC-N, providing valuable intelligence in coordinated counter-narcotics operations.
