On August 24th, a MAOC (N) supported operation carried out by the Brazilian Federal Police led to the seizure of 114 kg of cocaine, which was stuck to the hull of a vessel anchored at the Port of Santos, São Paulo.
The vessel had left Argentina and was bound for Spain when it was searched. To get to the drugs, divers from the Special Operations Command had the help of an underwater robot.
The Brazilian coast, namely the Port of Santos, remains part of an important trafficking route between South America and Europe.
