MAOC (N) Co-Leads Landmark International Conference on Semi-Submersibles in Colombia

MAOC (N) recently co-organised a milestone international conference in Cartagena, Colombia, bringing together over 100 experts from 19 countries to address the growing threat of Semi-Submersible vessels in cross-Atlantic drug trafficking.

In partnership with the Colombian Armada Nacional, which has significant operational experience in interdicting semi-submersibles, this three-day event featured workshops, capability demonstrations, and invaluable exchanges of expertise.

This conference represents a major step forward in international cooperation between military and law enforcement agencies working together to disrupt transnational drug trafficking at sea through this emerging modus operandi.

MAOC (N) is proud to have helped deliver this strategic initiative, fostering stronger ties and operational coordination across borders. The Centre is especially grateful to the hosts, the Armada Nacional de Colombia, and appreciates their unwavering commitment to the success of the conference.
