Joined by its 2nd Commander, General Teodorico Lopes, and its Director for Air Operations, General João Vicente, the meeting underscored a shared commitment to bolstering maritime security efforts against transnational threats.
During the visit, discussions emphasized the importance of coordinated action, intelligence sharing, and cooperation in combating illicit drug trafficking and related criminal activities.
The Portuguese Air Force is permanently represented at the Centre through a liaison officer whose contribution is essential to carrying out surveillance and target identification in maritime operations.
