MAOC-N signs a memorandum of understanding with the Colombian Air Force

MAOC (N) and the Colombian Air Force have signed a significant memorandum of understanding (MoU) to strengthen their collaboration in the fight against international drug trafficking. The agreement aims to enhance intelligence sharing, joint operations, and coordinated efforts to intercept and dismantle drug trafficking networks operating across maritime and aerial domains.

The MoU outlines a framework for increased cooperation, leveraging the expertise and resources of both parties to address the evolving threat posed by organized crime groups, using sophisticated methods and technologies. The Colombian Air Force, known for its advanced aerial surveillance and interdiction capabilities, plays a crucial role in identifying cocaine-laden planes departing from Colombia towards neighbouring South American countries, from where the cocaine is subsequently shipped to Europe via maritime routes.

MAOC (N) has been working alongside the Colombian Armada since 2018 and now stretches its partnership to further engage with Colombian authorities in the fight against international drug trafficking and organized crime.
