In recent days, MAOC-N welcomed the Portuguese Navy Fleet Commander, Vice-Admiral Nuno Chaves Ferreira, who was joined by Commander Aristides Costa from the Centre for Analysis of Operational Data (CADOP).
Vice-Admiral Ferreira and his delegation received an in-depth briefing on the Centre’s operations and recent missions conducted by MAOC-N. The briefing also included updates on the current Modus Operandi employed by criminal organisations involved in maritime drug trafficking across the Atlantic.
This visit provided an excellent opportunity to strengthen ties with a MAOC (N) valued partner. The Portuguese Navy has collaborated closely with MAOC-N since 2007, playing a significant role in the success of numerous maritime operations conducted by Portugal with the Centre’s support.
