On 18/04/2024, the Executive Director of MAOC-N hosted the Swedish Ambassador to Portugal, Elisabeth Eklund, at the Centre’s Headquarters in Lisbon.
Ms Eklund, who is also Ambassador to Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau and São Tomé and Príncipe, was briefed by one of the analysts on some of the Centre’s past and current operations, with an emphasis on vulnerabilities in the Gulf of Guinea and on General Aviation.
The meeting explored potential collaboration channels between MAOC-N and the Swedish authorities, reinforcing the commitment to international cooperation against transnational organised crime.
