On Saturday, October 8 2022, the Maritime Analysis and Operations Centre – Narcotics (MAOC-N) welcomed a bipartisan delegation from the United States House of Representatives Armed Services Committee led by Chairman Adam Smith (D-WA).
The focus of the delegation was to conduct engagements with senior U.S., NATO and other regional partners on European and Transatlantic security. This visit to MAOC-N highlighted the overarching theme that maritime security is national security.
The joint cooperation between MAOC-N and the USA on maritime drug trafficking has been developing since the Centre’s inception in 2007.
