French Navy Seizes Over 3 Tonnes of Cocaine in Operation Supported by MAOC-N

Earlier this month, the French Navy intercepted a fishing vessel navigating without a flag in the Atlantic Ocean, resulting in the seizure of 3.366 kg of cocaine and the arrest of seven individuals on board.

The vessel was sailing in the Atlantic Ocean when it was interdicted by the French authorities, who discovered 104 bales onboard, all of which tested positive for cocaine.

This successful operation, supported by MAOC-N, was conducted in close international and inter-agency cooperation between the French Navy, the French Anti-Narcotics Office (OFAST), the UK’s National Crime Agency (NCA), and the US DEA and JIATF-S.

This case once again demonstrates the decisive impact of international intelligence-sharing and coordinated operational action, while further underscoring MAOC-N’s role in disrupting transatlantic cocaine trafficking networks.
