Earlier this May, the Head of Operations of MAOC-N and the French Liaison Officer at the Centre visited the Maritime Prefecture for the Mediterranean in Toulon and the French Customs headquarters in Marseille.
The exchanges focused on the threat represented by maritime drug trafficking in the Mediterranean and the operational response to counter it. The head of operations of MAOC-N delivered an overview of the centreβs operations and ongoing intelligence work. The MAOC-N delegation was also presented with the Maritime Prefecture action plan against drug trafficking in the Mediterranean.
The visit provided the opportunity to reaffirm the MAOC-N’s commitment to strengthening operational coordination in the fight against drug trafficking in the Mediterranean.
