MAOC-N welcomes the National Director of the Portuguese Judicial Police

Last Friday, MAOC-N welcomed Carlos Cabreiro, National Director of the Portuguese Judicial Police (PJ), who visited the Centre’s headquarters in Lisbon.

As the host country of MAOC-N, Portugal plays a central role in supporting the Centre’s mission and activities, with the Portuguese PJ serving as a key institutional and operational partner in MAOC-N’s efforts to strengthen international cooperation against maritime drug trafficking.

The visit also provided an opportunity to mark the departure of Artur Vaz, MAOC-N’s outgoing Executive Board Member, following eight years of service. During his mandate, Artur Vaz provided unwavering support to the Centre and its mission, contributing to its work and continued development, as well as to its cooperation with partner authorities.

MAOC-N expresses its appreciation to Artur Vaz for his commitment and support throughout his mandate and welcomes João Oliveira, Director of the PJ’s National Unit Against Drugs Trafficking (UNCTE), in his new role as Portugal’s representative on the Executive Board.
