The Dutch authorities managed to intercept a speed boat carrying 340Kg of cocaine in the port of Zeeland, Netherlands.
3 Dutch nationals have been arrested and are now in custody.
This seizure is a result of a Dutch investigation targetting criminal groups responsible to collect drugs from large cargo ships, who discharge large quantities of drugs into the sea, tied in bags to flotation devices, and then picked up and taken to shore by smugglers in smaller, but powerfull vessels.
Dutch authorities are now working on identifying the cargo vessel involved in the transportation of the drugs from South America.
This kind of “Modus Operandi” is often used by the drug trafficking organizations responsible to introduce large quantities of cocaine in Europe through the Netherlands.
