MAOC-N recently participated in the III National Forum on Integrated Border Protection: Brazil’s Maritime Border, held on 26–27 May in Rio de Janeiro.
The event, organised by Brazil’s Institutional Security Office (Gabinete de Segurança Institucional – GSI), brought together representatives from national and international authorities involved in maritime security, border protection and the fight against illicit drug trafficking.
MAOC-N was represented by its Head Analyst, who delivered a presentation on the Centre’s structure, working methods and role in supporting international cooperation and information-sharing in maritime counter-narcotics operations.
The forum also provided an opportunity to further strengthen MAOC-N’s longstanding cooperation with Brazilian authorities, particularly the Federal Police and the Brazilian Navy. This cooperation includes the ongoing exchange of information in support of efforts to counter illicit trafficking across the Atlantic, reflecting the shared commitment of all partners to addressing transnational maritime threats.
