Represented by a Senior Analyst, MAOC-N contributed to two high-level working sessions focusing on combating irregular migration and enhancing the protection of the EU’s external borders, as well as dismantling drug trafficking networks operating across the Mediterranean.

The MED-9 is an alliance comprising Croatia, Cyprus, France, Greece, Italy, Malta, Portugal, Slovenia and Spain, established to improve cooperation on issues including maritime security across the region.

The discussions underlined the importance of sustained operational coordination among Member States and partner agencies. The Mediterranean continues to represent a shared security responsibility, with MAOC-N remaining fully committed to supporting joint responses to evolving maritime threats.
